Technical Education is Very Important

Why priority; advanced such as the EU, while wants to overcome with people trained technical problems in employment even countries with aging population profile, we in inadequate education, inadequate infrastructure and lack of interest because of the priority issue ... the ratio of total university students students studying in vocational high schools in Turkey around 20 percent While this ratio is between 45-60 percent in the US and EU countries. This gap between our developed countries and our rates clearly emphasizes why vocational technical education is our priority.

Although technical schools and enterprises cooperate in some areas, alienation continues because they do not speak the same language. The cooperation between technical schools and enterprises should be increased and placed on more realistic grounds. Vocational technical training should be restructured in order to ensure the participation of relevant parties (chambers of commerce and industry, MoNE, YÖK) and workplace-based vocational technical training should be focused on.
There is an urgent need for an update of the vocational technical education programs of our country and a flexible vocational technical education structure to be jointly discussed and prepared by the parties.
All programs of vocational colleges should be revised depending on technological developments in the world. Programs that are not needed should be closed and new programs should be arranged according to the requirements of qualified intermediate personnel of the industry.

There is great benefit in shaping vocational technical higher education in line with the views of the Ministry of National Education. Because; Schools providing vocational technical education under the roof of YÖK are treated as stepchildren. A modern vocational technical training, which is shaped in line with the Decree Law, which is prepared by the Ministry of National Education regarding the opening of vocational chambers of vocational schools and presented to the Council of Ministers, will open up the horizons of the youth of our country and train personnel in line with the needs of our industrialists.
The employer pays attention to the candidate's view of the job when hiring. They do not want to work with employees who want to start their business life from the top position, demand desk work, are not serious in their continuation, do not take responsibility, do not adopt the work, do not respect the discipline and authority. Unfortunately, this kind of behavior is one of the most important problems we have encountered in recent years. This situation, which is a sociological case, can only be overcome by the interest shown by the upper layers of society.

The young person who received technical education thinks that he has lost his reputation as a second year student when he starts school. This negativity is reflected to all technical education institutions and managers. Therefore, social support to vocational technical education is also very important. When the student graduates, he / she wants to feel that he / she will become a reputable member of the society and to know that he / she can work in suitable conditions. This can be achieved by social contribution. Today, information intensive industries and advanced production methods are the determinants of rapid development. In order to keep up with the new era, it is possible to make full use of science and technology and to provide our people with the right content, methods and techniques and a very intensive education. Taking into account the fact that such a level of education cannot be provided only by the state, the participation and contribution of the business world to the education process is seen as the basic condition of sustainable development in today's competitive environment. We invite all our industrialists to contribute materially and morally to vocational technical education.
